An update on your Able EBA

Community and Disability Sector

We wanted to provide you with an update on the status of your Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) with Fair Work.

After the Agreement was voted up by you, it was lodged with Fair Work for approval. During their review, Fair Work identified a few items in the Agreement that did not meet the "better off overall" test compared to the SCHADS award.

These issues were sent to Able for review and Fair Work requested that Able provide undertakings to address and improve upon these items.

Able has since made what we anticipate to be their final submission with an improved offer to address the issues Fair Work identified.

We are now awaiting confirmation from the Fair Work Commissioner. Once the Commissioner is satisfied that the revised Agreement ensures workers are better off overall, the Agreement will be approved.

We expect this process to be completed in the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated on any further developments.
