Aged Care Sector

Last week we met with Emmerton Park CEO, Chris Beckman, to begin negotiations for your new Enterprise Agreement.

This initial meeting was just to set an agenda for the process ahead.

Today we met with him again to present your log of claims (your wish list of items you would like to see added or improved to your current Agreement).

Chris advised that Emmerton Park is still considering many of the clauses put forward but is going to recommend the Board accepts HACSU’s claim for bereavement leave to be extended to 5 days, and that the clause also be altered to specify the application of leave in the instance of stillbirth or miscarriage for the birthing partner.

Chris is also going to recommend to the Board that our claim around more transparency with pay slips by having personal leave shown on them be accepted as well.

Chris has committed to supplying HACSU with feedback on the rest of our log of claims a week prior to us next meeting on September 27. We will keep you updated as negotiations continue.
